Count Your Discovery Treasures

I can count five objects one at a time and tell how many there are.

Let’s get started

Every object gets one counting word. Point, count, and say the total!

Learn together

  1. Place five objects in a row.
  2. Touch one object each time you say a number: one, two, three, four, five.
  3. The last number tells how many objects are in the whole group.

Example to explore

🍎 🍎 🍎 = 3 apples

Try it yourself

  1. How many stars can you count? ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
  2. What number comes after 4?
  3. Draw five dots on paper. Tell someone how you counted.

Hands-on project

Create a tiny “museum” of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 objects. Label each collection with its number.

Reflect and grow
